On June 4th, Tesla China officially launched the original manual retractable sunshade specifically designed for the Model Y, with a price tag of 1,499 yuan. Crafted from the same high-quality fabric as the vehicle's original roof, this sunshade is complemented by a handle with a metallic texture. Its integrated frame and roller mechanism are engineered to minimize noise, provide a smooth and comfortable user experience, and facilitate effortless installation.

The product has undergone rigorous vehicle airbag deployment tests and extensive road testing to guarantee its safety and reliability. It is compatible with Model Y vehicles manufactured from February 2025 onwards. The sunshade boasts a push-pull mechanism, allowing for easy overall installation once the rear seats are folded down. It also offers two-section independent adjustment for customized coverage.

Fixed securely in the panoramic sunroof gap using front and rear pins, this sunshade effectively mitigates the high temperatures inside the car caused by direct summer sunlight. Previously, the panoramic sunroof had faced criticism from Model Y owners worldwide for contributing to elevated in-car temperatures during summer months. Some users even humorously referred to the 'budget version' Model Y's built-in physical sunshade as a 'reverse upgrade,' highlighting the need for a more effective solution.
