According to data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), the pickup truck market sold 59,000 units in April 2026, representing a 4.2% year-on-year increase and a 15.8% month-on-month decrease, marking the highest sales volume for that month in the past five years. Cumulative sales from January to April reached 220,000 units, up 6.7%. In April, pickup truck production stood at 59,000 units, a 0.6% year-on-year increase; cumulative production from January to April reached 221,000 units, up 8.9%. Great Wall Motors maintained its leading position, while Chang'an and Jiangling showed strong performance driven by exports. In April, pickup truck exports reached 310,000 units, a 41% year-on-year increase, accounting for 53% of total sales. New energy pickup trucks sold 7,000 units in April, down 11% year-on-year.
