On the 13th, the German Automotive Industry Association announced that, driven by the profound impacts of industrial transformation, a worsening business climate, and escalating international competition, the German automotive industry is poised to shed an additional 125,000 jobs by 2035. This comes on the heels of approximately 100,000 job losses since 2019, culminating in a projected total reduction of 225,000 positions by the mid-2030s.
