Between May 1 and 10, the retail sales volume of passenger cars across China reached 407,000 units. This marks a 21% decline year-on-year (YoY) but reflects a robust 36% increase month-on-month (MoM). Since the start of the year, the cumulative retail sales volume has totaled 6.012 million units, indicating a 19% decrease YoY. Over the same period, the retail sales volume of new energy passenger vehicles stood at 226,000 units, experiencing a 13% drop YoY but a notable 27% surge MoM. Cumulatively, since the beginning of the year, the retail sales volume of new energy passenger vehicles has amounted to 2.984 million units, showing a 17% decrease YoY.
