Li Xiang, the CEO of Li Auto, disclosed in a post that Luo Yonghao, a notable figure, owns a Li Auto vehicle. Luo Yonghao even made a dedicated journey from Shanghai to Beijing to personally experience the latest Li L9 Livis model. Li Xiang outlined that the evolution of embodied AI will unfold in two distinct phases: the initial phase will focus on autonomous driving, while the subsequent phase will center around general-purpose humanoid robots. He forecasts that the market potential for both future automobiles and general-purpose humanoid robots will soar to a staggering five trillion US dollars.
Li Xiang also shared his insights on several fronts: In the AI-driven era, the criteria for identifying talent have shifted, with innovative thinking now being the most prized attribute. Contrary to popular belief, the notion that 'professional work will be entirely supplanted by AI' is unfounded. Instead, robots should be tasked with handling and loading duties. Furthermore, he emphasized that AI will not usher in an era of 'one-person companies.' Autonomous driving, he predicts, will evolve in stages, with Level 3 autonomy expected to materialize within the next one to two years, and Level 4 autonomy anticipated by 2028-2029.
Additionally, Li Xiang delved into the three core technologies underpinning the L9 Livis, highlighted the five genuine needs for in-car AI, and expressed his optimism that next-generation chips will furnish households with formidable computing power. He also firmly believes that the advent of the autonomous driving era will entice a broader spectrum of car buyers.
