Li Xiang, the founder and CEO of Li Auto, has officially announced the launch of the company's independently developed Mach M100 chip. This cutting-edge chip is set to make its debut in the brand-new Li L9 Livis model. Li emphasized that the escalating demand for computing power in the age of AI is propelling transformations in chip architecture. Four years ago, Li Auto's team pinpointed dynamic dataflow architecture as the ideal approach for the AI era. As the world's inaugural on-device inference chip harnessing a dataflow architecture, the Mach M100 delivers an impressive 1280TOPS of single-chip computing performance, while concurrently reducing end-to-end latency by 40%. The brand-new Li L9 Livis, outfitted with this chip, showcases markedly enhanced vehicle performance. In response to doubts regarding automakers' foray into chip development, Li clarified that the self-developed chip is designed to tackle the technical hurdles presented by suppliers, and Li Auto remains committed to investing in more fundamental core technologies.
