Qianli Technology is set to establish a joint venture with BAIC within this year, with detailed plans still under deliberation. This strategic move, which has been in the pipeline since last year, is aimed at shedding its 'Geely-affiliated' image to attract more orders from a broader spectrum of automakers. According to insiders well-versed in the matter, Qianli Intelligent Driving cannot sustain its growth trajectory by relying solely on Geely's business.

In a separate development, Chen Qi, the CEO of Qianli Intelligent Driving, has announced his resignation. His departure, however, is not linked to the joint venture plan. Looking ahead, Chen Qi is rumored to be exploring opportunities in the field of embodied AI startups.

Following the Spring Festival, a significant number of mid-level managers from Huawei's camp, who were integrated from the Zeekr team, also chose to resign voluntarily.

In its nascent stages, Qianli Intelligent Driving adopted a 'dual CEO' structure. From late 2025 to March of this year, it successfully equipped 17 Geely-affiliated models with its technology, achieving an installation volume of 460,000 units. In April of this year, Qianli Technology held a press conference where co-chairman Zhao Ming made his maiden appearance in the automotive circle, unveiling two 'Youxin' models to the public.
