On May 9, GAC Aian released a statement via social media to address and clarify recent online rumors concerning certain automotive manufacturers being investigated and interviewed over OTA (over-the-air updates) 'battery locking' concerns. GAC Aian highlighted that some netizens have concocted and circulated unfounded claims suggesting that GAC Aian was among the companies interviewed and placed under investigation. Upon thorough verification, GAC Aian confirmed that it has never been interviewed by the relevant authorities regarding such issues, nor has it been included on any list of companies under investigation. The dissemination of such false information has significantly tarnished GAC Aian's corporate image and brand reputation.
At present, GAC Aian has initiated procedures for evidence preservation and account tracing. It will take legal action against those spreading the rumors in accordance with the law, to protect its legitimate rights and interests. GAC Aian urges the relevant netizens and platforms to promptly remove the content spreading the rumors. It also reminds netizens not to believe or disseminate unverified information, to rationally evaluate information sources, and to collectively resist online rumors to maintain a clear and healthy online environment.
