On May 6th, reports emerged indicating that Tesla has recently unveiled plans to grant access to over 1,000 Superchargers and more than 400 Destination Chargers across mainland China to owners of non-Tesla new energy vehicles. This move encompasses all provinces and municipalities directly under the central government's jurisdiction. Charging rates at these newly accessible stations will mirror those available to Tesla owners, with select locations offering perks such as time-of-use electricity pricing and complimentary parking. Non-Tesla vehicle owners can conveniently locate these open stations, check real-time availability of charging spots and queue status, and complete charging transactions through the Tesla WeChat mini-program or the Tesla app.
