On May 1, during an interview at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, Alexander Pollich, CEO of Porsche China, responded to concerns over the brand's declining sales in the Chinese market. He emphasized that Porsche remains committed to sustainable growth, upholding its core brand values, and is not overly preoccupied with short-term sales metrics.
Notably, Porsche has witnessed a four-year consecutive sales decline in China, with deliveries dropping below 42,000 units in 2025—marking a significant 26% year-on-year decrease. Pollich highlighted Porsche's deep-rooted heritage in motorsport and its dedication to leveraging its unique brand strengths. He stressed the importance of nurturing enduring customer desire for the brand and pursuing a strategy centered on long-term market presence and vitality, rather than succumbing to transient market fluctuations.
