Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. has submitted a recall proposal to address 217 imported G 580 all-electric vehicles manufactured between February 9, 2024, and October 14, 2024. The recall will commence on May 6, 2026. The root cause of the recall lies in the inadequate durability of the wheel bolts. Under circumstances involving repeated disassembly or extreme driving conditions, these bolts may loosen, thereby compromising driving stability and elevating the likelihood of a collision. To rectify this issue, the company will provide free replacements of the affected wheel bolts with enhanced versions through its authorized dealerships, ensuring the elimination of any latent safety risks.
