This morning, Zhang Zhuo, the General Manager of the Sales Division at BYD Auto Ocean Network, unveiled details about the interior design of the BYD Seal 08. The interior of this new model adopts the Ocean Aesthetics 2.0 design philosophy, with a special emphasis on creating 'a tranquil oasis' and showcasing 'the allure of serenity.' It is set to make its grand debut at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show. The interior design strikes a perfect balance between simplicity and luxury, featuring a steering wheel reminiscent of a fish tail and adorned with numerous tactile buttons. It is anticipated to come equipped with cutting-edge configurations, such as dual zero-gravity seats for the front row passengers. The Seal 08 seamlessly integrates a host of advanced technologies, including rapid charging capabilities and rear-wheel steering, and is slated for launch in the second quarter of this year. In terms of dimensions, the vehicle boasts a length of 5150mm, a width of 1999mm, and a height of 1505mm, with a wheelbase measuring 3030mm. Built on an 800V high-voltage platform, the new vehicle is outfitted with a DM-i plug-in hybrid system, promising a pure electric range that is expected to surpass 1000 kilometers and the ability to replenish 400 kilometers of range in a mere 5 minutes. Externally, the Seal 08 carries forward the design ethos of the Ocean-S concept car, with a LiDAR sensor prominently mounted on the roof, signaling its readiness to embrace the latest intelligent driving assistance system.
