On April 13, 2026, the China-UAE Business Promotion Conference was held in Beijing, attended by approximately 1,000 senior government officials and business leaders from both countries. During the event, Zhang Bo, co-founder of Didi and CEO of Didi Autonomous Driving, stated that the UAE is the first stop for Didi's international expansion in autonomous driving. Didi is collaborating with local partners to advance the deployment of Robotaxi services, with plans to conduct testing and pilot explorations within the year.
