NIO Onvo has announced that the 2026 model year Onvo L90 will make its official debut at the event on April 21. This new model will be equipped with the innovative ‘Thor NX9031’ chip and the ‘NIO World Model (NWM)’. The LiDAR-integrated variant will see an estimated cost increase of around 10,000 yuan, attributed to the inclusion of high-performance memory and other advanced components. However, the pure vision variant will continue to be offered, with ongoing enhancements to its intelligent functionalities. After the LiDAR-equipped version is delivered, the pure vision model will undergo a significant update, encompassing improvements to the intelligent cockpit, chassis, and driving assistance systems. The new end-to-end driving assistance model is set to elevate the navigational assistance experience in both urban and highway settings. In July 2024, NIO achieved a major milestone by successfully completing the tape-out of the ‘Thor NX9031’, marking its independent design of both the hardware chip and the underlying software. The chip is renowned for its outstanding performance.
