On April 11, it was reported that the Netherlands Vehicle Authority (RDW) has officially approved Tesla's FSD (Supervised) system for use in the Netherlands, marking the first regulatory approval of the system in Europe. The RDW granted certification after more than 18 months of testing. Currently, the certification is only valid in the Netherlands, but Tesla hopes that other EU countries will follow suit. The widespread adoption of FSD is central to Tesla's growth strategy, with its $1 trillion valuation largely dependent on AI-driven autonomous driving software and robotaxis becoming the company's primary sources of future revenue.
