On April 10, data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers revealed a notable uptick in activity within China's automotive sector in March of this year, characterized by significant month-on-month surges in both vehicle production and sales volumes. The figures indicate that automobile production and sales volumes soared to 2.917 million and 2.899 million units, respectively, marking month-on-month increases of 74.4% and 60.6%. Industry experts have highlighted that the swift expansion in automobile production and sales in March was not only in line with seasonal trends but also attributed to several favorable factors. These include the execution of local subsidy initiatives, marketing campaigns at spring auto expos, and the introduction of fresh models by automotive manufacturers. Moreover, the automotive export sector exhibited remarkable strength in March, with shipments reaching 875,000 units, reflecting a month-on-month upswing of 30.2% and a year-on-year surge of 72.7%. Notably, exports of new energy vehicles surged to 371,000 units, marking a staggering 1.3-fold increase compared to the same period last year.
