On April 9, Li Auto reposted an investigative report from Xinhua News Agency, which unveiled that the company had recently been the target of malicious attacks involving AI-generated false and defamatory articles. These attacks have significantly tarnished the reputation of both the brand and its users. Earlier, the Shanghai Jiading Public Security Bureau had successfully busted a related illegal operation, in which two suspects were found to be controlling over 4,000 accounts. They had illegally amassed profits exceeding 80,000 yuan by disseminating 700,000 online articles. Li Auto has expressed its determination to defend its rights through legal means and has called for collective efforts to foster a transparent and healthy online ecosystem.
