On April 9, Kia Motors revealed a significant downward revision of its electric vehicle (EV) sales target for 2030, now set at 1 million units—representing a nearly 20% reduction from its initial projection. Concurrently, the company also trimmed its overall automotive sales target from 4.19 million units to 4.13 million units. This strategic recalibration stems primarily from the sluggish global demand for EVs and the repercussions of the United States' decision to revoke its EV subsidy policies in the previous year. Nevertheless, Kia remains steadfast in its commitment to propelling forward its electrification journey.
