Confronted with fierce competition from domestic new energy brands like BYD and Xiaomi, Volkswagen Group is expediting its strategic transformation in the Chinese market, with the ambition to reclaim market share by launching an extensive array of new products. As per the outlined strategy, Volkswagen anticipates introducing over 20 new energy vehicle models to the Chinese market by 2026. Concurrently, it will also unveil a range of novel and upgraded traditional fuel vehicles, thereby quickening the tempo of product rejuvenation.
