According to the 2025 European Auto Market Report released by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA), China’s vehicle exports to the European Union (EU) surpassed one million units for the first time in 2025. This milestone represents a significant 30.7% year-on-year increase, with the total export value reaching €13.72 billion, marking a 4% rise compared to the previous year. The market share of Chinese-made vehicles in the EU expanded from 5% in 2022 to 7%, further cementing China’s status as the EU’s leading source of imported automobiles. In stark contrast, EU vehicle exports to China experienced a sharp decline of 43% year-on-year during the same period.
