On April 7, a source within CATL revealed that the company has formally engaged Chen Jinghe, the founder and past chairman of Zijin Mining, as an advisor to its mining division. This move aims to bolster CATL's efforts in expanding its mineral supply chain operations. Chen Jinghe stepped down from his position on January 1 of this year. In recent times, CATL has actively been involved in the investment, development, and management of various mineral resources, including lithium, nickel, cobalt, and phosphorus. This has been achieved through a combination of self-construction projects, equity stakes, joint ventures, and acquisitions, aligning with industry practices and the company's strategic growth plans.
