In the autonomous driving sector, Pony.ai has outlined ambitious plans to deploy 3,000 Robotaxis by 2026, with intentions to penetrate 20 domestic cities and expand its footprint overseas to destinations including Croatia, the United Arab Emirates, Luxembourg, and South Korea. Meanwhile, WeRide projects its Robotaxi revenue to skyrocket to RMB 150 million in 2025, marking a staggering 209.6% year-on-year increase. Its operations already span 12 countries and over 40 cities worldwide, further propelling the industry's commercialization and scale-up endeavors.
This year, a slew of restyled and upgraded vehicle models are exhibiting a trend of 'price increases coupled with feature enhancements.' For instance, BYD has unveiled innovative battery and rapid charging technologies. The AITO M9 and ZEEKR S800 have incorporated LiDAR systems, while Xiaomi Automobile has upgraded its battery, motor, and computational capabilities. The entry-level variant now includes LiDAR, whereas the premium version introduces a light-sensing sunroof. Driven by policies aimed at curbing 'excessive competition' and implementing 'proportional subsidies,' the average price of passenger vehicles is anticipated to stabilize and subsequently rebound.
