On April 2, it was reported that the Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission, along with other relevant departments, jointly released a plan. According to the plan, by the end of 2027, Sichuan Province will have installed a total of 2.05 million charging facilities. The public charging capacity is projected to surpass 17 million kilowatts, forming a top-notch charging infrastructure network. This network will be capable of meeting the charging demands of 4 million electric vehicles and will double the existing charging service capacity. In addition, the plan emphasizes the expansion of private charging facilities. Specifically, all newly constructed residential areas will be mandated to either equip 100% of their fixed parking spaces with charging stations or ensure that the necessary conditions for installation are in place.
