On March 30th, Baidu's Apollo Go officially rolled out its fully driverless commercial services in Dubai, marking its distinction as the sole, self-operated, one-stop platform in the region offering autonomous driving services and boasting the largest fleet of autonomous vehicles. These vehicles are being deployed in phases, with the aim of constructing a vast transportation network comprising thousands of cars. In terms of its operational strategy, Apollo Go employs a 'dual-track model,' collaborating with Dubai's state-owned taxi enterprise, DTC, and Uber. This setup enables users to book autonomous vehicles via either the Apollo Go App or the Uber App, enhancing accessibility and convenience.
