On March 30, BMW officially disclosed the design specifics of the New Class BMW iX3 long-wheelbase variant. This model has been meticulously tailored for the Chinese market, boasting dimensions of 4885mm in length, 1895mm in width, and 1635mm in height. The wheelbase has been elongated by 108mm, reaching a total of 3005mm, with the entire additional space dedicated to enhancing the second-row seating area. The exterior showcases a 3D Light Glow Grille and an integrated front light assembly, complemented by nine available paint finish choices. The doors are fitted with semi-flush exterior door handles exclusive to the Chinese market, incorporating a triple safety redundancy mechanism for added security. Inside, the vehicle features a panoramic integrated sunroof with sun protection, embodying BMW's latest design ethos. It also introduces a bespoke large language model technology, co-developed with Alibaba, and partners with Momenta to create an advanced assisted driving solution suitable for both highway and urban driving conditions. In terms of performance, the vehicle is equipped with BMW's sixth-generation eDrive electric drive technology, built on an 800V high-voltage platform, and offers a CLTC pure electric range exceeding 900km. This model is set to make its grand debut at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, with plans for a launch in the latter half of the year.
