The Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, and the State Administration for Market Regulation have jointly issued the "Intelligent Shipping 2030 Action Plan". According to the plan, by 2027, artificial intelligence technology will be seamlessly integrated with various shipping elements, leading to significant breakthroughs in the core technologies of intelligent shipping. By that time, the plan envisions the establishment of at least three comprehensive pilot regions dedicated to intelligent shipping, the launch of more than five pilot routes, the creation of over ten exemplary scenarios ripe for widespread adoption, and the operation of more than 100 intelligent ships. Concurrently, a series of technical standards will be formulated, and a cohort of leading talents in scientific and technological innovation will be nurtured. Intelligent shipping will foster effective collaboration among diverse elements, bolstering the shipping industry's capacity to prevent and mitigate human errors, alleviate labor intensity, and enhance production efficiency, thereby injecting fresh impetus into the industry's development.
