Wedbush analyst Dan Ives stated in a report that the foundation for a merger between Tesla and SpaceX by 2027 is gradually taking shape, no longer a speculation but a realistic and feasible path. Previously, Tesla's $2 billion investment in xAI was converted into less than a 1% stake in SpaceX after SpaceX acquired xAI. Both parties also announced that they will jointly build a TERAFAB facility in Austin, Texas, marking the first step in their deep integration. Additionally, the SpaceX IPO, expected to launch as early as mid-June, will further accelerate this process.
