In February 2026, Dr. Ruigang Yang, a former Director of Baidu's Robotics and Autonomous Driving Lab, CTO of Inceptio Technology, and an IEEE Fellow, established NeoWa Robotics. The company is dedicated to addressing the challenging “last 500 meters” delivery scenario within logistics system automation. According to data from the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing (CFLP), by 2025, the number of instant delivery orders across the nation had surpassed 60 billion, with the instant e-commerce market size nearing one trillion yuan. However, the final delivery stage—that is, delivery to end-user communities and buildings—remains heavily reliant on manual labor. This reliance results in issues such as inconsistent efficiency, high costs, and the inability to provide door-to-door delivery services. NeoWa Robotics aims to develop expertise in spatial navigation, environmental perception, and human-robot interaction through high-frequency last-mile delivery tasks. The company plans to gradually expand its services into areas such as community inspections and property management, ultimately constructing a versatile service robot platform tailored for community and building environments. To date, NeoWa Robotics has successfully completed its seed funding round and promptly secured additional investment.
