On March 24th, reports indicated that the Shenzhen Municipal Development and Reform Commission had unveiled the "2026 Work Plan for Enhancing the Market-Oriented Business Climate in Shenzhen" on the 23rd. This plan outlines a strategy to expedite the commercial rollout of intelligent connected vehicles. It emphasizes the need to bolster the development of a governmental regulatory framework, facilitate the phased and categorized opening of test and demonstration routes, and pioneer the use of autonomous driving technologies in public transportation, taxis, ride-hailing platforms, and logistics distribution. Additionally, the plan advocates for the widespread adoption of functional unmanned vehicles. By leveraging Nanshan District and Bao'an District as pilot zones, the initiative aims to harmonize cross-district commercial operation norms, technical standards, and regulatory guidelines, thereby enhancing road network interoperability and mutual recognition of qualifications.
