Preliminary projections from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) indicate that the retail market for narrowly defined passenger vehicles in March is poised to reach around 1.7 million units. This reflects a 12.4% year-on-year decline but marks a significant 64.5% month-on-month surge. Notably, retail sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) are expected to soar to 900,000 units, achieving a market penetration rate of 52.9% and thus rebounding to surpass the 50% threshold.
