Tang Jing, who leads Li Auto’s product line, has shared the latest update on the MEGA battery recall, revealing that the completion rate has now exceeded 97.5%. Out of the 11,411 vehicles recalled, 11,128 have already had their batteries replaced. However, 283 vehicle owners have not yet completed the replacement, and they are urged to do so without delay. Previously, Li Auto took the initiative to announce a recall of 11,411 units of the 2024 Li MEGA electric vehicles. The recall was prompted by concerns over the insufficient coolant anti-corrosion performance in this batch of vehicles. Under certain conditions, this issue could lead to the corrosion and leakage of the cooling aluminum plate, potentially triggering the vehicle's fault light to turn on. In extreme scenarios, it could even cause thermal runaway of the power battery. To rectify this situation, the company will provide free replacements of the coolant, power battery, and front motor controller for affected vehicle owners.
