UNYX 08—a mid-to-large-sized, all-electric SUV developed in collaboration with XPENG, a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer—has officially commenced mass production. Serving as a pivotal element of Volkswagen's new energy strategy tailored for the Chinese market, this model is set to underpin the introduction of more than 20 new models in China this year, in a strategic move to regain market share. At present, Volkswagen is actively working to bridge the gap with local rivals like BYD and Geely.
