On March 12, Honda Motor announced that due to a reevaluation of its electric vehicle strategy, it expects to incur expenses and losses of up to 2.5 trillion yen (approximately $15.7 billion). For the current fiscal year (April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026), the company anticipates a net loss ranging from 420 billion to 690 billion yen, marking its first annual loss since going public. Meanwhile, Honda has canceled the development and market launch plans for three electric vehicle models originally scheduled for production in North America.
