On March 12, 2026, data released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) revealed that the nationwide wholesale sales volume of passenger cars in February stood at 1.518 million units, marking a 14.3% decrease compared to the same period the previous year. During that month, eight models achieved wholesale sales exceeding 20,000 units. Among them, the Tesla Model Y emerged as the leader, with a remarkable 41,404 units sold. This figure nearly doubled the sales of the Xiaomi YU7, which recorded 20,196 units, thereby securing the Tesla Model Y's position as the best-selling model in the market.
