Tesla has officially announced via its Weibo account that its electric truck, the Semi, is presently undergoing rigorous winter testing in Alaska, accompanied by the release of images showcasing the test vehicle in action. Elon Musk, Tesla's CEO, had previously revealed in August of last year that the Semi is earmarked for mass production in 2026. The project made its grand entrance in late 2017, with the inaugural batch of vehicles being delivered in December 2022. A specialized production facility has been set up adjacent to Tesla's Gigafactory in Nevada to cater to the Semi's manufacturing needs. Presently, the standard-range model of the Semi is priced at $250,000 (approximately RMB 1.73 million), whereas the long-range variant commands a price tag of $290,000 (approximately RMB 2.006 million).
