On March 5, Firefly, NIO's premium compact smart electric car brand, officially announced its entry into the Thai market. This move signifies Firefly's second expansion into a right-hand-drive market in Southeast Asia. Presently, Firefly has a presence in 10 countries worldwide, with ambitious plans to extend its reach to nearly 40 markets across Europe, the Americas, and Southeast Asia. In a strategic move to solidify its foothold in Thailand, Firefly has appointed Thonburi BlueSky Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Thonburi Group, as its general distributor. Furthermore, Firefly's right-hand-drive models are set to make their grand debut at the 47th Bangkok International Motor Show.
