On March 5th, SAIC Volkswagen officially declared that the ID.ERA 9X has officially kicked off mass production at its Ningbo facility, with the first production-ready model rolling off the assembly line at the same time. As the flagship model in the ID.ERA series, the ID.ERA 9X signifies the full-scale implementation of SAIC Volkswagen’s multi-energy strategic plan, aiming to capture the premium extended-range market segment. This vehicle is designed as a six-seater extended-range SUV, measuring 5207mm in length, 1997mm in width, and 1810mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3070mm. It offers a 2+2+2 seating configuration and is outfitted with premium features including a throne-like seat, executive independent seats, and a 21.4-inch overhead display. In terms of powertrain, it is powered by an EA211 1.5T range extender, providing two driving modes: single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive. The CLTC pure electric range exceeds 400 kilometers, while the overall range extends beyond 1000 kilometers. The new model will start pre-sales at the end of March and officially hit the market in April.
