At the 2026 sessions of the National People's Congress, Lei Jun, a delegate to the NPC and the founder of Xiaomi Group, put forward five proposals. One of these proposals centers on refining the evaluation items for motor vehicle driving tests. He recommends that the relevant authorities and industry bodies should take the initiative, work in tandem with carmakers, encourage the incorporation of driving test content into the realm of intelligent technologies, and incrementally raise the evaluation emphasis on smart car-related content.
