The National Bureau of Statistics has issued the 2025 Statistical Communiqué on National Economic and Social Development, revealing that by the end of 2025, the total number of civilian vehicles in China is projected to reach 366.11 million, with private cars accounting for 323.36 million of this figure. Specifically, the number of civilian passenger cars will stand at 197.73 million, while private passenger cars will number 186.91 million. In the postal sector, the annual delivery volume for postal services is expected to hit 216.5 billion items, with telecommunications services generating a total revenue of RMB 1,862.7 billion. By year-end, the number of mobile phone base stations will have climbed to 12.87 million, serving a nationwide mobile phone user base of 1,826.84 million. Fixed Internet broadband access users will reach 690.82 million, while mobile IoT terminal users will soar even higher, totaling 2.888 billion. The Internet user population is set to expand to 1.125 billion, achieving an Internet penetration rate of 80.1%. Mobile Internet user access traffic for the year is projected to reach a staggering 395.8 billion GB. Furthermore, the software and information technology services industry is expected to report a software business revenue of RMB 15,483.1 billion.
