On February 28th, reports indicated that Guangzhou Petrochemical, a subsidiary of Sinopec, has recently achieved certification under the "Low-Carbon Hydrogen, Clean Hydrogen, and Renewable Hydrogen Standards and Evaluation" framework. This certification was granted by the National Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell Vehicle Demonstration Evaluation Platform, and Guangzhou Petrochemical has been authorized to display the Clean Hydrogen logo. This achievement signifies a significant milestone for Guangzhou Petrochemical in advancing the hydrogen energy sector, enabling it to supply premium-quality clean hydrogen for the eco-friendly transformation of transportation and other industries. The evaluation criteria, established by the China Hydrogen Energy Alliance, are designed to measure carbon emissions throughout the hydrogen production lifecycle. Notably, Guangzhou Petrochemical’s Hydrogen Supply Center boasts an annual production capacity of 5,100 tons for fuel cell hydrogen, with an impressive purity level of 99.999%, positioning it as the largest hydrogen supply hub in South China at present.
