Recently, spy shots of a higher-performance iteration of the Porsche Taycan have emerged. This upcoming model, tentatively dubbed the 'Taycan GT4 RS,' is anticipated to boast a peak power output surpassing the 1,019 horsepower currently offered by the Taycan Turbo GT. The car showcases a fresh RS-inspired sports package, encompassing an exaggerated front splitter, flared wheel arches, a sizable rear wing, and a diffuser—all designed to bolster its aerodynamic efficiency.
Previously, the Taycan Turbo GT claimed the title of the fastest production four-door electric vehicle on the Nürburgring, clocking a lap time of 7 minutes and 7.55 seconds. However, this record was eclipsed in June of this year by the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, which achieved a time of 7 minutes and 4.957 seconds. Porsche's decision to introduce this enhanced Taycan variant is widely viewed as a strategic move to counter the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, with the ambition of reclaiming the crown for the fastest production electric sedan on the Nürburgring.
