Recently, the aluminum-based ultra-wide temperature range lithium-ion battery, which was independently developed by the Advanced Energy Storage Technology Team at the Institute of Carbon Neutrality Technology, Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, has been put into use for the first time. It was applied to mass-produced pure electric vehicle models from a leading domestic new energy vehicle company and underwent on-board testing in the frigid conditions of Heihe, Heilongjiang. The test results revealed that, in an environment of -25℃, with the vehicle exposed to low temperatures for an average of more than 24 hours, the battery maintained a discharge efficiency exceeding 92% under real-world urban driving conditions. Additionally, it supports rapid charging in cold weather, requiring just 20 minutes to reach 90% capacity.
