According to reports, Tesla introduced its Robotaxi autonomous taxi service in Austin eight months ago. However, current operational data indicates a significant shortfall compared to Musk's initial projections. Presently, the Austin area is served by only 42 Robotaxis, with a service availability rate of a mere 19%. This means the service remains inoperative 81% of the time and suspends operations completely during rainy weather. From a safety perspective, when manned by safety supervisors, the collision rate of these vehicles is nine times higher than that of human-driven taxis.
