Autohome has unveiled the sales data for January, revealing that the Xiaomi YU7 emerged as the best-seller in the Chinese automotive market, with a remarkable 37,869 units sold. Trailing closely behind were models such as the Geely Boyue L, Geely Xingyuan, and Wenjie M7. Vehicles ranked from 11th to 20th include the Toyota Corolla Cross, Volkswagen Magotan, and others. The Tesla Model Y witnessed a substantial drop in sales, managing to sell only 16,845 units in January, which is less than half of Xiaomi YU7's sales volume. This represents a decline both on a month-over-month and year-over-year basis. Tesla China's total sales for January stood at 18,485 units, marking the poorest performance in January for nearly two years. Nevertheless, its Shanghai factory exported 50,644 new vehicles, ensuring that the overall sales remained roughly in line with the previous two Januarys. Among the top 20 best-selling vehicles in January, 13 were fuel-powered, representing 65% of the total; 5 were pure electric models, making up 25%; and 9 were from domestic brands, accounting for 45%.
