According to data from Tianyancha, Xiaomi Auto Technology Co., Ltd. has recently obtained a patent for an "opposing-door vehicle and latch assembly." This innovative design features a vehicle body equipped with two door panels, a latch assembly, and a hinge assembly. The latch assembly is designed to shift between two positions along a primary axis, ensuring a secure lock with the second door panel. Meanwhile, the hinge assembly enables the rotating edge of the second door panel to follow a first path and the opening edge to pivot along a second path. This configuration allows for a flexible door-opening sequence, offering an enhanced and user-friendly experience.
