On February 3 (local time), the World Leading Scientists Summit and the World Government Summit convened jointly for the first time. Dr. Zeng Yuqun, Chairman of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL), shared the platform with Nobel laureate in Physics Steven Chu to deliver insightful speeches. The summit drew a crowd of eminent scientists, heads of state, and government ministers from around the globe. As the sole representative of Chinese entrepreneurs at this prestigious event, Zeng Yuqun presented CATL's vision and efforts in propelling the global energy transition. He highlighted that zero-carbon technology is propelling new energy sources past market tipping points, finding applications in areas such as zero-carbon mining and industrial processes. He forecasted that future sustainable energy systems will be characterized by "decentralization," "intelligence," and "recyclability," and posited that 2030 will herald the dawn of the sustainable energy era. He underscored that win-win collaboration lies at the heart of progress, with CATL actively championing technology sharing. Furthermore, he proposed that certain overseas nations establish "zero-carbon economic special zones" and expressed his eagerness to collaborate closely with all stakeholders to co-create a zero-carbon energy future.
