On January 30, according to Reuters, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel requested that Gotion, the U.S. subsidiary of Gotion High-Tech, return $23.7 million in state government subsidies. Previously, Gotion High-Tech abandoned its plan to build a factory in Michigan. The factory, originally planned to invest $2.4 billion to produce key materials for electric vehicle batteries, had received financial support from the state government.
