Ola Källenius, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Group, revealed that about a year ago, Howard Lutnick, nominated as the then U.S. Secretary of Commerce, met with him and suggested that Mercedes-Benz relocate its headquarters from Germany to the U.S., citing reasons such as low energy costs, simplified regulations, and light tax burdens.
