CPCA's Cui Dongshu: China’s Auto Exports Surge to 8.32 Million Units in 2025, Marking a 30% YoY Increase

Cui Dongshu, the Secretary-General of the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), unveiled the Comprehensive Analysis of China’s Auto Export Market for the Full Year of 2025. According to the data, China’s auto exports soared to 990,000 units in December 2025, representing a significant 73% year-on-year (YoY) surge. For the entire year, the total auto exports reached an impressive 8.32 million units, up by 30% YoY. Notably, exports of new energy vehicles (NEVs) witnessed remarkable growth, with December’s figures hitting 420,000 units, a staggering 174% YoY increase. Throughout the year, NEV exports totaled 3.43 million units, surging by 70% YoY, outpacing the growth rate recorded in 2024. The report also shed light on the top ten countries by cumulative total vehicle exports in 2025, along with the top five countries experiencing the largest YoY increases. Furthermore, it detailed the proportion of various vehicle types within the total auto exports for the year and listed the top ten countries by total NEV exports, as well as the top five countries with the most substantial YoY growth.
