On January 23, adhering to the 'Regulations on the Recall Management of Defective Automotive Products' and its corresponding enforcement rules, Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. submitted a recall proposal to the State Administration for Market Regulation, bearing the recall identification S2026M0007V. The recall initiative is set to commence without delay, targeting particular Chery Explorer 06 and Brand-New Tiggo 7 1.6T vehicles manufactured between April 1 and December 8, 2025, encompassing a total of 1,108 units. The root cause of this recall lies in production and assembly discrepancies in certain vehicles. Specifically, the clips designed to secure the engine ECU branch wire harnesses may not have been installed as per the prescribed standards. This oversight could potentially result in the wear and tear of the wire harnesses. In severe scenarios, such wear might lead to the vehicle abruptly stalling while in motion, thereby presenting a significant safety risk.
